Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the lost 0.24%.
The best performers of the session on the were Phoenix Holdings Ltd (TASE:), which rose 4.47% or 109 points to trade at 2550 at the close. Meanwhile, Maytronics (TASE:) added 2.36% or 121 points to end at 5257 and Shapir Engineering Industry (TASE:) was up 1.39% or 33 points to 2401 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Liveperson (TASE:), which fell 3.88% or 810 points to trade at 20090 at the close. Energix (TASE:) declined 2.80% or 42 points to end at 1460 and Airport City Ltd (TASE:) was down 2.14% or 114 points to 5211.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 251 to 184 and 13 ended unchanged.
Shares in Phoenix Holdings Ltd (TASE:) rose to 5-year highs; up 4.47% or 109 to 2550.
Crude oil for February delivery was down 0.29% or 0.15 to $52.09 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.71% or 0.40 to hit $55.59 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.81% or 14.90 to trade at $1850.30 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.32% to 3.1764, while EUR/ILS fell 0.76% to 3.8616.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.46% at 90.483.
